So the official day of the 30th Birthday has come and gone and I feel no different for its passing :)   People were asking me if I was dreading this birthday and how it feels to be 30.  I’m not really sure what “30″ even means other than the # of years I’ve been alive.  To me, it’s just another # and a sign of me growing older (definitely) and wiser (hopefully).  As I look back on the years I can remember, I think that this 30 thing is pretty good.  I have a nice home, great family and friends a wonderful hubby, well-behaved and cuddly dog and the smartest, cutest daughter I could have ever hoped for.  I wouldn’t trade being 30 for being in high school again, being in my 20s and in college or even my mid-20s.  I am happy in my own skin and love my life – I think those are great things no matter what your age :)

For my birthday party we were supposed to have a groovy shindig featuring a disco theme (gotta love the late 70s!) at our house BUT I came down with the flu a few days before the party and didn’t quite feel up to playing the hostess to 25 people so, we cancelled it and ended up having dinner at my parent’s house a couple of days later.

Partly because I am a fun person :) , partly because I like to torture my family and partly because I am practical (I HAD already purchased costumes and decor for a disco party) I still made everyone dress up for dinner – Hee Hee.  And partly because they wanted to humor me since I am getting older ;) and partly because they too are fun people, they agreed!  We had lots of yummy food and laughs at each others’ expense due to the ridiculousness of the costumes.  I hope you enjoy these pics….. and remember:
