First Week of School

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

Hello to everyone!

So…Tuesday was B’s first day of preschool at Primrose Academy where she will be spending her Tuesday and Thursday mornings from about 8:30-11:30. I was anxious about taking her because I wasn’t too sure how she would react. Luckily I didn’t have to worry too much as she quickly started playing with the toys and puzzles in her classroom. When I came back to get her, she was excited to see me and had already done 2 pieces of artwork for us! (The teacher was informed that Braelyn’s name is only spelled with 1 n! :) )

She told me that she had fun and her teacher said that she had been very well-behaved and that she is very bright because she knew all of her colors and shapes. She went potty in the big kid potty but didn’t eat her snack, which is really no surprise to any of us because she is the PICKIEST eater in the world and her diet consists of about only about 10 things. Her teacher gave her a backpack that she can take her things to and fro in and she got a progress report for the day saying what she did, what mood she was in and a few other details about the day.

When we dropped her off this morning, she was excited to play on the playground and she was happy to see Mrs. Karen (the owner) and go to her classroom. Matt said she wasn’t upset when he left the room at all.  When I arrived to pick her up, they were on the playground singing songs and playing with a parachute.  She actually ate her snack today (YAY) and was very excited to use the glue for an art project. Our little baby is now a pre-school girl and we are excited that she gets to have some fun adventures, meet new friends and that mommy gets a few hours off!! Until next time….have a great day!!

P.S. Keep your Diamondbacks fingers and toes crossed - - there is still a glimmer of hope……..

Summer Days…Drifting Away

Friday, September 5th, 2008

Hello from the desert!

We just returned from our last summer trip to San Diego where we had SO much fun!  We were gone for 10 days and we got to spend lots of great time with family, visited Sea World again and witnessed our newest family addition, neice and cousin Kyleigh.  It was so relaxing to hang out in the cooler weather and celebrate my mom’s birthday, along with Matt’s and Kyleigh’s arrival.  We got some funny shots of B playing in her pool at Tom and Sheri’s house and also beaching it in Carlsbad at my parent’s timeshare.  MLB dad had a day off and we used our Sea World passes to make another trip back to do the things that B LOVED the last time we were there.  As the fall approaches and possible baseball playoffs are looming (keep your fingers crossed), we don’t have any plans to travel until Thanksgiving where we will be back in San Diego for one of our very good friend’s wedding.  I do hope that I will have pictures and playoff tales to tell from Chicago, Milwaukee, New York, or Philadelphia if the Dbacks can hold on to first place.  We hope all is well and that the beginning of Fall has come to you wherever you make your home.  We love you all and look forward to seeing you all soon!

Love,

MLB Mama
